Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Mr. Janez Premoze, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to China, in Beijing on 21 April 2017. The two sides exchanged views on the 2017 Meeting of China-Central-Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Ministers of Agriculture and bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Vice Minister Qu noted that China highly appreciates Slovenia's participation in China-CEEC agricultural cooperation and fully supports Slovenia for the 2017 Meeting and related activities. He suggested that the two sides capitalize on the multilateral cooperation platform between China and CEECs to strengthen bilateral agricultural trade. He also invited Slovenian officials and businesses to the China International Tea Expo in Zhejiang Province in mid May.
Mr. Premoze appreciated the support from the Chinese side and fully agreed on Vice Minister Qu's proposals. He said that Slovenia is willing to work with China and other CEECs to promote multilateral agricultural development.
